Privacy & Terms

Look, we're just as tired of reading legal stuff as you are. Here's the straight talk about how we handle your info.

Last Updated: October 24, 2025

Running an auto shop means we gotta collect some info - can't book your tune without knowing your ride, right? We're laying it all out here because transparency matters when you're trusting us with your vehicle and your data.

Alright, here's what we need from you when you're working with us:

  • Basic Contact Stuff: Name, phone number, email - pretty standard. We need to reach you when your car's ready or if we find something weird under the hood.
  • Vehicle Details: Make, model, year, VIN. Can't tune what we don't know, right?
  • Service History: What we've done to your ride before. Helps us track mods and maintenance.
  • Payment Info: Credit card details get processed through our secure payment processor - we don't actually store that stuff on our end.
  • Website Analytics: Basic browsing data like how you found us, what pages you checked out. Nothing creepy, just helps us improve the site.

We're not out here selling lists or spamming you with junk. Everything we collect has a purpose for servicing your vehicle or running the business.

We're not gonna beat around the bush - here's exactly what we do with your information:

  • Schedule appointments and send reminders (nobody wants to miss their dyno session)
  • Keep track of what mods and services we've done to your vehicle
  • Send you quotes and invoices - gotta get paid somehow
  • Reach out about warranty stuff or recalls on parts we installed
  • Occasionally send updates about new services or seasonal specials (you can opt out anytime)
  • Improve our website and customer experience
  • Comply with legal requirements - taxes, insurance, that kinda thing

We're mechanics, not marketers. Your inbox won't become our billboard unless you actually want those updates.

Your data stays pretty locked down. We only share when absolutely necessary:

  • Parts Suppliers: Sometimes we gotta send vehicle info to get the right parts ordered. They're under strict agreements not to misuse it.
  • Payment Processors: Credit card companies need to process transactions - that's just how payments work.
  • Legal Obligations: If the law says we gotta hand something over (court orders, etc.), we have to comply. Hasn't happened yet, knock on wood.
  • Insurance Companies: Only if you specifically ask us to coordinate with your insurer for warranty work or claims.

We don't sell, rent, or trade your info. Period. That's not how we operate.

Yeah, our website uses cookies. Not the chocolate chip kind, unfortunately.

Cookie Preferences

We use Google Analytics to track basic stuff like page views and where visitors come from. It helps us figure out if anyone's actually reading our blog posts or if we're just shouting into the void.

You can block cookies through your browser settings if you want. Just know that some features might not work right without them.

It's your data, so you've got rights. Here's what you can do:

  • Access: Wanna see what we've got on file? Just ask. We'll send you a copy.
  • Correction: If something's wrong, let us know and we'll fix it.
  • Deletion: Want us to erase your info? We can do that, though we might need to keep some stuff for legal or tax reasons.
  • Opt-Out: Don't want promotional emails? Click unsubscribe or tell us directly.
  • Data Portability: Need your records for another shop? We'll export everything in a usable format.

To exercise any of these rights, shoot us an email at info@draventhshade.info or call (647) 555-8742. We'll handle it within a couple weeks max.

We take security seriously - like, encryption and secure servers level serious. Here's what we do:

  • SSL encryption on our website (that little padlock in your browser)
  • Secure, password-protected databases
  • Regular software updates and security patches
  • Limited staff access - only people who need it can see customer data
  • Secure payment processing through certified third-party processors

Look, no system's perfect. If there's ever a breach (which we work hard to prevent), we'll let you know ASAP and tell you what happened and what we're doing about it.

Alright, the less fun stuff. Here's what you're agreeing to when you work with us:

Appointments & Scheduling

Life happens, we get it. But if you need to cancel, give us at least 24 hours notice. Last-minute no-shows mess up our schedule and might result in a cancellation fee.

Payment Terms

We accept cash, credit cards, and debit. Payment's due when you pick up your vehicle. For bigger jobs, we might ask for a deposit upfront - just to cover parts orders and such.

Warranties & Guarantees

We stand behind our work. Parts come with manufacturer warranties, and our labor's guaranteed for 90 days. If something we did goes wrong in that time, bring it back and we'll make it right. Performance mods have different terms - we'll go over those case by case since every build's different.

Liability

We're good at what we do, but performance modifications can affect your vehicle's warranty and insurance. That's on you to check before we start wrenching. Also, track-focused mods might not be street legal everywhere - know your local laws.

Estimates

Quotes are estimates, not set-in-stone prices. If we find additional issues once we're in there, we'll call you before doing extra work. No surprise bills.

Questions about any of this? Hit us up before you book. We'd rather clarify now than deal with confusion later.

We might update this policy from time to time - new laws, new services, whatever. When we do, we'll update the date at the top and let you know if it's a major change.

If you keep using our services after we update the policy, that means you're cool with the changes. If you're not cool with them, well, you've got the right to take your business elsewhere. No hard feelings.

If something in here doesn't make sense, or you've got concerns about how we handle your data, don't hesitate to reach out. We're not lawyers - we're mechanics who care about transparency.
